Houston Texans star wide receiver Kenny Stills was among 87 people arrested outside of Kentucky Attorney General David Cameron’s home on Tuesday.

The arrests came during a protest stemming from the death of Breonna Taylor at the hands of Louisville Metro Department police officers back in March. Stills is now free of the most serious charge.

“After careful review of the law, I am dismissing the felony charge of Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process against the protestors arrested on Attorney General Cameron’s property on July 14, 2020,” Jefferson County Attorney Mike O’Connell said, via TMZ Sports.

Stills was facing up to five years in prison if he were convicted on the felony charge of intimidating a participant in a legal process. He still faces two lesser misdemeanor charges.

Stills, 28, was at the forefront of the Colin Kaepernick-led national anthem protests as a member of the Miami Dolphins back in 2016. He’s continued to protest against racial inequality and police brutality throughout the United States as a member of the Texans since.

Breonna Taylor death

Taylor’s death has made waves around the United States following the murder of an unarmed African-American man by the name of George Floyd by a then Minneapolis police officer back on May 25. Other big-time stars around the sports world have paid their respects to Mrs. Taylor after she was killed in a residence by authorities while sleeping on March 13.
