The Los Angeles Dodgers turned to youngster Walker Buehler to start a do-or-die Game 5 against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday.

This was somewhat of a surprise given the presence of future Hall of Famer and Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw on the Dodgers’ roster.

Showing that no moment is too big for the 25-year-old starter, Buehler came through big time in the clutch.

He gave up just one run and four hits while striking out seven in 6.2 innings of work. Buehler exited after throwing a whopping 117 pitches and with a 3-1 lead.

Needless to say, the MLB world had its reactions to this stunning performance.
