Fans paid $99,000 to purchase two courtside seats for Game 7

Warriors Oracle Arena

Two presumably very rich NBA fans paid $99,000 for two courtside seats to watch the Golden State Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers for Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

Darren Rovell passed along this astonishing information Friday.

This is just a tremendous amount of money to spend on a few hours of heart-pounding action. After all, it seemed a tremendously rich bargain when three fans attended Game 5 for the combined price of $51,000 (more on that here).

Hopefully they didn’t have to go to extreme measures to acquire the seats.

Game 7 at Oracle Arena Sunday should give them a heck of a ride, though. The Cavaliers and Warriors have dished out some heavyweight blows during the course of this series, and it all comes down to one final shot at glory.

The Warriors appeared to have the momentum and the series heading into Game 5 up 3-1. But LeBron James, who Magic Johnson called the best all-around player to ever play the game, has turned up his game to legendary status the past two games. The Cavs have won them by a combined total of 29 points.

It all comes down to who can manifest their greatness to the highest degree Sunday night when Curry and the Warriors host James and the Cavaliers to see which team will finish the season with a title and which will look back with regret.
