After the NBA Finals matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers was set in stone Monday night, Cleveland Browns cornerback Damarious Randall made a promise to his Twitter followers he might live to regret.
Randall said he’d buy everyone who retweeted his tweet a jersey if the Cavaliers won. The big problem here is that it’s going to cost him a ton of money. Like, much more than his NFL contract.
Being a good-natured entrepreneur, Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, who also happens to own Fanatics, made Randall an offer that would shave millions off his promise.
Good news @RandallTime – I’ll give you the jerseys at wholesale!!! Just saved you over 14 million $$$ #fanatics #damariousrandall #browns #CavsVsWarriors #NBAFinals https://t.co/kBaaMQrAv9

It’s worth noting that, as of right now, Randall’s tweet has been retweeted 422,000 times. That bill is skyrocketing, and quick.
