As the Haas Japanese Grand Prix 2025 preparations continue, the Formula 1 team unveiled a special livery on its VF-25 car, featuring a cherry blossom design. The Japanese Grand Prix runs this Sunday.
The striking design also points to Hass’s commitment to Japan. Its multi-year technical partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing, which kicked off in October 2024, ushered in Toyota’s return to F1.

Haas Japanese Grand Prix 2025 and Toyota partnership

The collaboration includes Toyota giving design, technical, and manufacturing services to Haas to enhance the team’s capabilities under the leadership of new team principal Ayao Komatsu from Japan. The change in leadership, along with new drivers Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman, has revitalized the team, which currently sits sixth in the constructors’ standings. Even though they are an American-owned team, the Japanese Grand Prix is seen as a ‘home race’ for Haas.
Berman says the Haas Japanese Grand Prix 2025 presence at the legendary Suzuka circuit is big for them, their fans, and F1 fans overall.
“I’m really excited to race in Japan. The track looks fantastic and our partnership with Toyota GAZOO Racing it’s going to be a great event for the whole team. It was great experience and the fans were fantastic, Berman told told Motorsport.com. “To have all that support – at just a test – was amazing so I can’t wait to see everyone again. The track looks like a highlight, I’m really looking forward to this one.”
The question for Sunday’s race will be whether Haas can capitalize on their ‘home race’ and if they can hold their own in the constructors’ championship race. The performance of their car, now wearing the special livery, will be something to watch closely on the demanding Suzuka circuit. One thing can be guaranteed: the Hass Japanese Grand Prix 2025 presence will be noticed.
