ESPN, Fox, Warner Bros. Discovery announce new streaming sports service

ESPN, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery on Tuesday announced an agreement in principle to launch a pay streaming sports service later this year.

The platform would give fans access to the following sports networks: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2, BTN, TNT, TBS, truTV as well as ESPN+.

Each entity would own one-third of the joint venture, have equal board representation and license their sports content to the joint venture on a non-exclusive basis. The service would have a new brand with an independent management team.

The offering is expected to launch in the fall.
