Free agent center Enes Kanter has reportedly agreed to a free-agency deal with the Boston Celtics, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Per Charania, it’s a two-year, $10 million deal.

Kanter, who played with the Portland Trail Blazers and New York Knicks last year, isn’t as good as Al Horford but gives the Celtics a nice consolation prize after Horford agreed to a huge deal with Philadelphia on Sunday.

During the 2018-19 season, Kanter averaged 13.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Still just 27 years old, he is a high-energy player who will mesh well with the young Boston core.
