Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders appears to be taking some of the credit for former quarterback Brock Osweiler landing his big deal with the Houston Texans.
During an interview with Hannah Storm of ESPN’s Sports Center, Sanders said that he caught some of the passes Osweiler threw last year. Just in case Osweiler might be listening, Sanders called him out.
“So Brock, I’m expecting a Lambo.”
Storm joked with Sanders and said she thought that she was getting Sanders’ Lambo. Apparently, Sanders is looking for an upgrade via Osweiler.
Osweiler signed with the Houston Texans during free agency under a massive, $72 million, four-year deal. That certainly can buy a lot of Lamborghinis. But, we’re guessing Osweiler will be taking care of No. 1 first when it comes to purchasing new vehicles.
Though, Sanders makes a good point. It helps to have good wide receivers to make a quarterback look successful. Osweiler had the pleasure of working with two of the best in the NFL in Sanders and Demaryius Thomas.
We’ll see if Osweiler’s success continues this fall with DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and Braxton Miller at his disposal.
