Cincinnati Reds star infielder Elly De La Cruz is among the most-electric players in Major League Baseball. Since making his debut with the team last June, he’s proven this over and over again.

The division-rival Milwaukee Brewers found that out first-hand during their game in Cincinnati on Monday.

De La Cruz, 22, entered the game hitting a mere .242 with a .718 OPS while having yet to hit a home run in nine games.

That changed big time. De La Cruz took J.B. Bukauskas deep in the fifth inning. It was an absolute blast, traveling 450 feet in the process.

Talk about a moon shot from the youngster.

But that was not anywhere near the extent of it. Two innings later, and De La Cruz pulled off the rare accomplishment of hitting an inside-the-park homer.

The dude made it around the bases in less than 15 seconds. You have got to be kidding us. Absolutely stunning stuff.

It goes without saying that those watching the game were left with their eyes wide open after his accomplishment.
