Former Arizona State football player in police custody for making ‘terroristic threats’

A former Arizona State football player is in police custody for allegedly threatening messages posted to his Twitter account. Per Jason Pohl of the Arizona Republic, police allege that Edward “Robbie” Robinson “made “terroristic threats” against students and staff at Arizona State University.

Robinson made a number of posts (almost all of which contain strong adult language) from his Twitter account on Friday. The problems touched on his issues with the Sun Devils football program, as well as some larger societal issues.

In one such post (which can be seen here), Robinson said that he was looking for a gun so he could “spray the stadium up.”

Robinson was a part of Arizona State’s class of 2016. Per Pohl, he has not been enrolled at ASU for more than a year.
