Ed Reed May Disappear Into the Wilderness

If future Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed decides to hang up his cleats and not return for a 13th season in the NFL, he may very well decide to take a trip into the wilderness and never come back.

Reed has never really been an outspoken player. He normally does his talking on the football field throughout what has been one of the best careers for a defensive back in the history of the league.

In the very same report, Baltimore Sun’s Jeff Zrebiec indicated that Reed isn’t necessarily willing to announce his retirment and still wants to play. Per Reed’s usual demeanor, Zrebiec couldn’t tell if he was serious.

Reed struggled big time in his first season outside the Baltimore Ravens organization in 2013. He suited up in 10 games for the Houston Texans before being released, eventually finishing up the season with the New York Jets.
