Eagles QB Nate Sudfeld carted to locker room with arm injury

The Philadelphia Eagles might have to rely on Nate Sudfeld at some point this season with starting quarterback Carson Wentz coming off an injury.

Impressive in his limited action last season, the young quarterback started out the 2019 preseason in grand fashion. That included this absolutely brilliant 75-yard touchdown pass against the Tennessee Titans Thursday evening.

Unfortunately, Sudfeld had to depart in a cart later in the game after suffering a potentially serious injury. His arm was in an air cast.

It did not look good, ladies and gentlemen.

With former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles now on the Jaguars, Sudfeld if Wentz’s primary backup. Given that Wentz has been unable to finish the past two seasons due to injury, the No. 2 quarterback job in Philadelphia is a big deal.

The 25-year-old quarterback had completed 10-of-18 passes for 177 yards and a score before suffering the injury.

Let’s just hope the injury is not as serious as it seems.
