Eagles have only three active WRs for ‘MNF’ vs. Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in must-win mode Monday night against the New York Giants. At 5-7 on the season, Philly would remain a game behind the free-falling Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East with a loss.

Unfortunately for Carson Wentz and Co., they are not heading into this divisional matchup with a full deck of cards. Dealing with a knee injury, struggling pass catcher Nelson Agholor is inactive for this game.

That means the Eagles will head into “Monday Night Football” with three active wide receivers. You read that right. Three.

The list of those set to catch passes from Wentz includes Alshon Jeffery, Greg Ward and rookie JJ Arcega-Whiteside.

Ward and Arcega-Whiteside have combined for a grand total of 13 catches on the season. To put this into perspective, Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has more than double the amount of catches this season than these three receivers combined.

This is certainly going to test Wentz as the Eagles look to break out of a funk that has seen them lose three in a row.
