He might not be as well known as RJ Barrett, Zion Williamson and Cam Reddish, but star Duke freshman Tre Jones is what holds it all together.
The point guard entered Monday’s game against Syracuse averaging 8.5 points and 5.9 assists on 44 percent shooting. A true floor general, Jones is tasked with getting the ball to those three above-mentioned stars.
Unfortunately for the Blue Devils, Jones exited Monday’s game in the first half with a scary-looking right shoulder injury.

Duke did note that Jones was questionable to return. Even then, this has to be scary for Coach K and Co.
The Blue Devils’ success on offense is predicated on spacing and getting the ball to Barrett, Williamson and Reddish. Jones is a big part of that.
Here’s to hoping this isn’t a long-term injury.
