Duke Loses; Outraged Fans, Use Twitter To Blame Tony Romo and Jason Garrett

In the biggest upset of the year, Duke loses to Mercer in the opening of the NCAA tournament. This busts millions of March Madness brackets for people everywhere. Fans are furious and want to cast blame on someone, anyone. Who better to blame than Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Jason Garrett?

Ever since they attended a Duke game earlier this month wearing twin-like Duke polo shirts, people have been poking fun and are now cursing them for Duke’s 78-71 loss to Mercer. Here are some expressive, comical and flat out furious tweets from Duke hardcore fans:

Geesh. I’d give a strong warning to Tony Romo and Jason Garrett to not even read Twitter today. These were some pretty disgruntled people and their thoughts and feelings come through loud and clear.

Congratulations are in order for Mercer – well played.

Mercer, which has fewer tournament appearances(three) than Duke has titles (four), shot 56 percent from the floor and outscored the Blue Devils 20-8 over the final four minutes, 35 seconds.
