Drew Brees passes Brett Favre for most completions in NFL history

Drew Brees

In a career full of amazing moments and achievements, New Orleans Saints quarterback Brew Brees can now add the all-time completions record to his historic career.

In the second quarter against the Atlanta Falcons, Brees hooked up with wide receiver Michael Thomas for the 6,301 completion of his career.

Brees’ new mark passes Hall of Famer Brett Favre, who finished his career with 6,300 completions. Favre’s record was accomplished on 10,169 attempts, while Brees accomplished the feat in under 10,000 pass attempts.

The 39-year-old is also closing in on the passing Peyton Manning for the NFL’s all-time passing yardage record (71,490), which he should reach in a matter of weeks.
