This is one less quarterback situation that has to be settled heading into free agency.

Future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints announced on Instagram Tuesday that he’s returning to the team and will play a 20th season in the NFL.

Brees, 41, was never going to suit up for another team. Though, it was an open question whether he would return or call it quits.

Now that Brees has announced he’s returning, it’s more than likely Teddy Bridgewater will depart in free agency. His market is said to be near $30 million annually.

As for backup Taysom Hill, he still figures to be the long-term replacement for Brees. That just won’t happen next season.
