Draymond Green guarantees Game 6 win over Rockets

Draymond Green’s turnover in the closing seconds of Game 5 helped the Houston Rockets move within one victory of the NBA Finals, but the Golden State Warriors forward is confident his team won’t allow that celebration in Game 6.

Following the Warriors’ loss Thursday, Green told ESPN’s Chris Haynes that Golden State will be back in Houston for a Game 7 in the Western Conference Finals.

“You’d be a fool not to believe me. If you don’t ever believe anything I say, believe this: We’re a group of champions.”

While NBA fans expect nothing less from the always-confident Green, he also has good reason for the guarantee. The Warriors are 7-1 at Oracle Arena during the playoffs.

Plus, Rockets star Chris Paul has a potentially problematic hamstring injury. If he’s limited in any fashion, that’s a major dent to a Houston team that has played tremendous defense over the last two games.

For good reason, Steve Kerr’s club is the early betting favorite for Game 6. The spread is currently set at 10.5 points in Golden State’s favor, per OddsShark.

But Green better hope his guarantee comes true. Otherwise, the Warriors will be watching the NBA Finals from home for the first time since 2014.
