In brutal news today for the Indianapolis Colts, inside linebacker D’Qwell Jackson was suspended four games without pay for violating the NFL’s performance enhancing substances policy, per Adam Schefter.
Jackson suffered a concussion in Monday night’s game against the New York Jets, but he leads the Colts in tackles with 78 on the year.
In what looks to be a big blow for a defense that has struggled with injuries, Jackson missing four games could be key in the Colts’ bid for a playoff spot.
Jackson, 33, was a free-agent pickup from the Cleveland Browns, and he has been a key player in replacing Jerrell Freeman.
