The Miami Dolphins are rewarding safety Eric Rowe with a three-year, $18 million contract extension that includes $7 million guaranteed, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

Rowe, 27, was originally a second-round pick out of Utah for the Philadelphia Eagles. He spent one season in Philly, three more with the New England Patriots and then signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with Miami this past spring in free agency.

Starting 11 games and appearing in 12 this season for the Fins, Rowe has tallied 59 tackles and has seven passes defensed.
