There’s been some scuttlebutt around the league that Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross may consider selling the team, but he shut that down emphatically on Friday.

Ross was asked about a recent report that he might sell the team. According to David Wilson of the Miami Herald, he responded by saying, “I have no interest in selling the team. Zero. Got it? People can write what they want to write. I’m going to own it until I die.”

Since 2008, Ross has been the principal owner of the Dolphins. He’s shown himself to be a huge advocate of the players on his team, and it’s clear he hopes to help the organization finally get back to the glory days.

Last year, Ross hired former New England Patriots assistant Brian Flores to turn things around after a failed Adam Gase experiment. Miami has the No. 5 overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft and is widely expected to take a quarterback, according to the latest mock drafts.
