Dolphins’ Jay Cutler ruled out for Thursday’s game

Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler

Matt Moore will indeed be under center for the Miami Dolphins Thursday night against the Baltimore Ravens as they look for their fourth consecutive win.

Jay Cutler has officially been ruled out for this game with two cracked ribs.

It was always doubtful that Cutler would be able to go in this one. First off, rib injuries take time to heal. Secondly, the Dolphins are coming off a short week ahead of Thursday’s game.

Not all is lost here. Moore performed well in Cutler’s stead after the starter went out last week. The veteran completed 13-of-21 passes for 188 yards with two scores in a 31-28 win over the New York Jets.

Sure the Ravens’ defense presents more of a challenge here, but Moore should perform well in Week 8. If so, the Dolphins could be looking at their fourth consecutive win after starting the season slow.
