All-Pro Jalen Ramsey will make his debut with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, however, fellow cornerback Xavien Howard has been ruled inactive for the team’s game against the visiting New England Patriots.

Ramsey, 29, was listed as questionable after limited participation in practice throughout the week. He was activated off injury reserve on Saturday, however.

He underwent meniscus surgery on his left knee on July 28 and was not expected back until December. The non-contact injury occurred in training camp while he was covering wideout Tyreek Hill in an 11-on-11 drill.

The Dolphins obtained Ramsey from the Los Angeles Rams in March for tight end Hunter Long and a 2023 third-round draft pick (77th overall), which became linebacker Byron Young of Tennessee.

A six-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time first-team All-Pro, Ramsey has 19 interceptions in 108 career games (107 starts) with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2016-19) and Rams (2019-22). The Jaguars made the former Florida State standout the fifth pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Howard is sitting his second straight game due to a groin injury. Wide receiver Robbie Chosen, safety Jevon Holland, quarterback Skylar Thompson and defensive tackle Brandon Pili are also inactive for the Dolphins (5-2).

The Patriots (2-5) listed the following players as inactive: linebacker Josh Uche, offensive tackles Calvin Anderson and Vederian Lowe, wide receivers Tyquan Thornton and Kayshon Boutte and quarterback Will Grier.
