It looks like the Miami Dolphins are going to tank the 2019 season while collecting draft picks for the following April.

Miami has already traded quarterback Ryan Tannehill and pass rusher Robert Quinn this offseason. It has also let the likes of Frank Gore, Danny Amendola and Cameron Wake all walk in free agency.

Two-time Pro Bowl safety Reshad Jones soon be added to that list. According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, young general manager Chris Grier could very well move Jones prior to the start of the season.

Typically, Miami has sought draft picks in 2020 when talking trades this offseason. This means that a deal doesn’t have to get done ahead of next month’s draft.

Jones, 31, is currently recovering from a torn labrum that cost him the final two games of last season.

The two-time Pro Bowler has been a full-time starter for Miami over the past eight seasons after Miami made him a fifth-round pick back in the 2010 NFL Draft.

While Jones is a little long in the tooth and coming off an injury, he’s likely to draw a nice amount of interest on the trade market.
