Nearly three months after first being sidelined by a forearm strain, Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Rich Hill will rejoin the team’s rotation on Thursday against the Baltimore Orioles.

Los Angeles activated Hill off the 60-day injured list before Thursday’s game as he prepares to take the mound for the first time since June 19.

The 39-year-old southpaw landed on the injured list in June after experiencing soreness in his elbow. He started to make significant progress in August and now the team hopes he can slot in as its No. 4 starting pitcher.

While injuries have often limited Hill in recent years, he’s been excellent when healthy. He owns a 2.55 ERA and 1.11 WHIP across 53 innings this season with more strikeouts (61) than hits allowed (47).
