September baseball at its best. Los Angeles Dodgers rookie outfielder Joc Pederson was seen across the street from Wrigley Field on Friday fetching a ton of Starbucks drinks for his veteran teammates.
It’s all part of a lighthearted “hazing” process that most rookies go through as rosters expand during the final month of the regular season.
I just want to know what the reaction of the barista was when Pederson walked up to the counter to give his order. Once knowing who he was, did that barista offer free drinks? Heck, knowing the he/she might have been a Cubs fan, why even serve Pederson what can be considered a PED?
As it is, the two men looking at Pederson here must have felt they were in some reality television show or something. It’s not every day that you see a baseball player in full uniform (minus the cleats) leisurely carrying Starbucks down the street.
