The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled left-handed pitcher Justin Bruihl on Monday, making room on the roster by optioning right-hander Andre Jackson.

It’s the third season Bruihl, 25, has split time between the Dodgers and Triple-A Oklahoma City. Over the past two years he has made 45 appearances (two starters) with the Dodgers, owning a 1-2 record with a 3.40 ERA.

This season, Bruihl has not allowed a run in five appearances out of the Oklahoma City bullpen, striking out nine in six innings while allowing only three baserunners.

Jackson, 26, appeared in four games for the Dodgers, earning a save with three shutout innings in his first appearance on April 1. But since then he has been touched up for eight earned runs in 5 1/3 innings, most recently allowing four home runs Friday in a two-inning effort in an 8-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs.
