Did ‘The Good Place’ doom the Jaguars to the Pit of Misery?

The Jacksonville Jaguars were supposed to be amazing. They came within an inch of representing the AFC in Super Bowl LII and everyone figured they’d be right there again in 2018.

They seemed to be primed for success. Jacksonville opened the season with three wins in four games while getting some sweet revenge on Tom Brady and Co. for good measure.

Then, disaster struck. The team’s vaunted defense fell apart (and has only gotten worse), Blake Bortles went back to Bortling — hard — and the team has lost seven straight games.

On Monday, the team fired offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and benched Bortles for Cody Kessler — yeah, it’s BAD.

It’s been a remarkable fall from grace, and Jaguars fans are at their wits end trying to figure out what the heck happened.

Thankfully, we might have one answer for them, and it involves the hit NBC sitcom “The Good Place.”

So, if you’re listening, “The Good Place” writers, you can go ahead and start saying the Jaguars suck again. And throw in some more Jason Mendoza Bortles references, for good measure.
