Soon-to-be Hall of Famer Terrell Owens isn’t making many friends around the sports world after declining an invite to his own Hall of Fame induction ceremony later this summer.

Instead of being in Canton, the always combative former NFL wide receiver will be celebrating his important day with friends and family at his former University of Tennessee-Chattanooga stomping grounds.

One fellow Hall of Famer in a different sport is none too happy about it. Here, former basketball coach and legendary ESPN college basketball announcer Dick Vitale takes major aim at Owens for declining the invite.

Not only is Dickie V taking a shot at Owens here, he’s mentioning the retired receiver while posting a photo of himself at his own Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony. We’d say that’s a diaper dandy of a job throwing shade in Owens’ direction.

The closer this ceremony gets in Ohio, the more people are going to come out against Owens. But one thing is for sure. The highly enigmatic man has always done his own thing. He’s unhappy about not being a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and he’s letting everyone know about it.
