Just a couple of days after signing with the New Orleans Saints, wide receiver Dez Bryant reportedly is feared to have suffered an Achilles injury, which would be a season-ending deal. This is very unfortunate for a guy who was trying to resurrect his career, playing for a contending team.
Once this news broke, Twitter of course exploded with commentary and well wishes.

The Twitter Takes are aflame with the @DezBryant news — his potential Achilles injury is either a direct result of his not being active for so long or the exact reason why @LeVeonBell has been holding out.
How about this one — it’s an awful shame.

The injury to #DezBryant reminds me of prom night. All this buildup and excitement, only to see no action. #Saints

About 6 weeks ago I renamed my fantasy football team "all aboard the injury cart" I had 4 players hit the IR and 2 more out with injuries prior to week 3. So I picked up @DezBryant yesterday and now we have a potential torn achilles.

Bet Dez Bryant could still burn Marcus Peters

Bad day and injury for Saints WR Dez Bryant, whom team fears tore his Achilles. As one NFL HC just texted: “If that is in fact the case, not shocked. Out that long. Does not matter what you do while away from REAL FB. Can’t duplicate it.”
