Dez Bryant after Jason Garrett officially out: ‘Cowboys just became real contenders’

The Dallas Cowboys finally, mercifully announced Sunday that Jason Garrett is out as head coach. Former Cowboys star Dez Bryant couldn’t be happier.

After the news became official, Bryant took to Twitter with a savage burn, writing, “I don’t have no sympathy for coach Garrett losing his job. The Cowboys just became real contenders.”

Now, if you’ve been following Bryant in recent years, then you already knew he has no love for the former Cowboys coach. At every turn, Bryant has lashed out at his former head coach since he was released by the organization back in 2018.

So, it’s hardly surprising to see that Bryant used Sunday’s news as another opportunity to take a swipe at Garrett. On the other hand, one wonders if Bryant’s sentiment here isn’t one that’s shared by many around Cowboys Nation.
