Detroit Lions: Reggie Bush Claims Team is Doomed Without Leadership

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush doesn’t appear to see much hope for his team without proper leadership. It’s time for veterans like Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson and new head coach Jim Caldwell to step it up and lead the team. Caldwell replaces Jim Schwartz, who was fired for reportedly not being able to control his team.

According to Sports Illustrated, Bush had this to say.

It’s something that we have to be ready for and something we have to take advantage of, too, Bush told MLive.com. Without leadership on this team, we’re not going to go far.

I’m sure this has just a little to do with the Lions losing six of their last seven games, last season, letting the NFC title slip through their fingers. A new coaching scheme should help, but the Lions need to unify in order to put up a better record then they did last year and compete for a playoff spot. Or, as Bush stated, they will be doomed.
