The Miami Dolphins made major news on Monday, the start of the NFL free-agent tampering period. Miami used its excess of cap room to sign Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl cornerback Byron Jones to a record-breaking contract.
We now have more information as it relates to said deal. It’s an absolute whopper.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it includes $82.5 million in total cash over five seasons with $57 million guaranteed and $40 million over the first two years.
That’s just crazy.
