Derrick Rose did not use good judgement in an interview Monday.
Twice, he used the term “kill yourself” when discussing fans who doubt him or think the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to go in the tank now that Tom Thibodeau has been fired.
Not surprisingly, it didn’t take long for the veteran star to issue a public apology for using that term.
I messed up by using the slang term “kill yourself” today in response to a question about whether I can continue to perform without coach Thibs. I did not mean it literally and regret using it so I apologize.

A quick glance at the Urban Dictionary shows that he likely used it to basically say, “I don’t agree with what you’re saying.”
Still, Rose should have been more aware of the words coming out of his mouth. Clearly, that message has come through, and thankfully he did apologize.
