Derek Carr carted into locker room with apparent broken leg

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr

The worst nightmares of the Oakland Raiders may have come true. Quarterback and MVP candidate Derek Carr was injured on a sack and taken off of the field.

Reading Carr’s lips, he appeared to believe he had broken something. That was backed up by Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman.

Any positive hopes for the Raiders and their fans may now rest on the team’s defense.

Carr put no weight on his leg as he was taken off of the field, and he was carted off after being examined on the sideline and headed straight to the locker room.

Matt McGloin is the backup for the Raiders, and he’s thrown one pass all year before being forced into duty.
