Derek Carr has been on the hot seat ever since Jon Gruden took over as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders last year, and he’s getting tired of the routine.
Recently, it’s been speculated by many that the Raiders could move on from Carr. And comments from Gruden haven’t exactly quelled any of that, either.
On Monday, one day after the Raiders lost to Denver in a must-win game, Carr opened up about how he feels about these reports.
Quite simply, he’s “sick of talking about it.”
Statistically speaking, Carr hasn’t been bad in Oakland the past two seasons.
Unfortunately, the Raiders have seen Carr fall short in crunch time on a number of occasions (like this), and of course they’ve gone 11-21 the past two seasons with Carr under center.
So, if he is part of the Raiders’ plans in 2020 in Las Vegas, Carr should brace for more questions about his future. Because right now, it’s debatable that he’s the long-term answer for the Raiders, or any other team.
