In the final minutes of Saturday’s game against Alabama, Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois suffered what appeared to be a serious knee injury.

He had to be helped off the field and exited the game for good.

It certainly did not appear to be a minor injury. After being examined on the sideline, Francois was carted into the locker room for further testing.

Francois, a sophomore, endured big hits all night long going up against Alabama’s stout defensive front. We hate to speculate here, but if he did in fact suffer a season-ending injury, then the Seminoles will be bad shape offensively. He is the unquestioned leader of the offense this year and is one of the best young passers in the nation.

At the time of the injury, Alabama led 24-7. Francois had completed 19-of-33 passes for 210 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions before exiting the game.
