DeAndre’ Bembry arrested for driving 128 miles per hour

Atlanta Hawks forward DeAndre’ Bembry has been sidelined while recovering from an injury, but he has a larger problem than a health issue now.

Lauren Foreman of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Bembry was arrested early Friday morning for driving 128 miles per hour in a purple Dodge Charger. It occurred in a 55 mile-per-hour zone, and Bembry was “stopped without incident.”

Brad Rowland of Peachtree Hoops shared the team’s comment:

“We are aware of an incident involving DeAndre’ Bembry earlier this morning. We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation, and out of respect for the legal process, we will have no further comment at this time.”

Bembry has appeared in 18 games this season, averaging 17.3 minutes with 4.8 points and 2.3 rebounds.

The 23-year-old has missed time due to a Grade 1 adductor strain.
