Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina spoke out Thursday about the abuse she has received on social media.

After defeating Poland’s Magda Linette to become the first player to reach the WTA Elite Trophy semifinals in Zhuhai, China, the sixth-seeded Kasatkina posted a message on Twitter that included an image of some of the ugly and vulgar messages she has received.

“I won btw. This s— is completely out of control,” Kasatkina wrote.

One comment shared by Kasatkina blamed her for losing a bet because she “play like stupid and poor moneky (sic).” Another called her a “f—— clown useless b—-” and finished with “you should be dead.”

Kasatkina, 26, is currently ranked No. 17 in the world. The 2022 French Open semifinalist has won six singles titles and earned more than $10 million in prize money.
