Dallas to name street after Mavericks great Dirk Nowitzki

Dirk Nowitzki

Dirk Nowitzki just finished up an amazing 21-year career with the Dallas Mavericks. The 14-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer is considered the greatest player in franchise history.

It now looks like the city of Dallas is going to pay homage to the German. According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Dallas is going to name a street after Dirk.

Dirk’s name is now going to be linked to the Mavericks forever as their fans head to American Airlines Center moving forward.

For good reason.

Nowitzki led Dallas to 16 playoff appearances and two NBA Finals appearances during his time with the team.

He earned the NBA Finals MVP as the Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat in the championship round back in 2011.
