Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott teamed up with a local business to raise $85,000 for the North Texas Food Bank.
The business, CENTRE, shared a picture on Instagram at the food bank where Elliott posed with the check that will help feed thousands in the region.
Many people will be grateful for this assistance. Texas is currently having to roll back openings amid a torrent of positive COVID-19 tests.
According to The Hill, “The state also reported 9,268 people in the state’s hospitals with COVID-19 as of Tuesday, setting another daily record.”
Elliott recently recovered from COVID-19 and has expressed skepticism about playing football this season amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
