Dak Prescott breaks NFL record previously held by Warren Moon

The Dallas Cowboys appear to have quite the gem in rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, who set an NFL record in his second career start Sunday.

In addition to engineering his first ever fourth-quarter comeback win against the Washington Redskins, Prescott broke Warren Moon’s record by attempting 75 passes without throwing an interception. It’s the best mark of any rookie in the history of the NFL.

Critics will point to the fact that Prescott has yet to throw a touchdown. But he was one dumb play by wide receiver Terrance Williams away from potentially starting the season 2-0 as a rookie quarterback.

Winning games in the NFL has everything to do with winning the turnover battle. Through two games, Prescott is displaying a knack for ensuring his team wins that battle. He did not throw a single interception during the preseason as well.

The Cowboys appear to be in good hands with Prescott behind center. He and fellow rookie, running back Ezekiel Elliott, should have fans excited about the future of the franchise.

Up next for Prescott and the ‘Boys are the Chicago Bears at home — a game Dallas should win handily if the rookie continues to take care of the football.
