CSU’s Larry Eustachy placed on administrative leave in wake of probe

Colorado State University has placed head basketball coach Larry Eustachy on administrative leave in the wake of a probe into his behavior toward coaches, players and staff.

Two days ago, CSU athletic director Joe Parker announced the university had launched a probe into Eustachy’s conduct.

“We have started a climate assessment, which involves conversations with the students and staff members associated with the men’s basketball program,” Parker said in a statement, per coloradoan.com. “As always, we will not make any public comments until our process is complete and have no additional information to share at this time.”

This probe was launched after a report by Justin Michael of Rocky Mountain Collegian in which he revealed it was under way. He also reported that Eustachy’s players were very much against him, noting the “vast majority of the players spoke out against Eustachy in their interviews.”

Eustachy has posted a 121-74 record in six seasons with the Rams and is 10-14 this season heading into Saturday’s game against Nevada.
