Coyotes center Travis Boyd signs two-year extension

Arizona Coyotes center Travis Boyd signed a two-year contract extension on Saturday.

Financial terms were not disclosed by the team for Boyd, who has recorded career-high totals in goals (10), points (24) and penalty minutes (22) in 46 games this season.

“We are very pleased to sign Travis to a two-year contract extension,” Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong said. “He is a versatile, skilled center who has been a great addition to our forward group and we look forward to having him on our roster next season.”

Boyd, 28, has totaled 65 points (23 goals, 42 assists) and 34 penalty minutes in 170 career games with the Washington Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs, Vancouver Canucks and Coyotes.
