Dak Prescott contract

Thursday was expected to be a big day for star quarterback Dak Prescott and his Dallas Cowboys. The NFL Draft. One of the biggest days on the sports calendar.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck the Pro Bowl signal caller. According to the Shreveport Times, Prescott’s brother, Jace, passed away at the young age of 31. Cause of death is not yet known.

Jace was an offensive lineman for Northwestern State in Louisiana from 2008-10. The middle brother of three, he was an all-state performer just like Dak.

“He was a great kid who dominated games,” Prescott’s high school football coach, Rodney Guin told The Times. “He was a pleasure to coach — as were all the Prescott boys.”

The Cowboys released a statement following verification that Mr. Prescott had in fact passed away on Thursday.

Our thoughts obviously go out to the Prescott family and the entire Cowboys organization during these most difficult of times.

A young man is not supposed to see his life come to an end in such a premature manner.
