Danish forward Mille Gejl Jensen signed a two-year contract with the North Carolina Courage on Friday.

Financial terms were not disclosed on the deal, which is pending a receipt of her P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

“I would describe myself as a creative offensive player with good technical ability and a good vision of the game,” she said. “I’m always looking to create goal-scoring opportunities for myself and my teammates and hopefully that will continue in the United States.”

Gejl Jensen, 23, has scored seven goals in 23 international appearances for Denmark, including in the club’s 2-1 victory over Brazil in a friendly last June in Copenhagen.

“We identified Mille early in the process. She has been tremendous in and around the 18-yard box her entire career and her talent and experience will add great value to our team. She’s a young, talented player who is eager to learn and be part of our attacking style. We look forward to welcoming her to North Carolina,” Courage coach Sean Nahas said.

Gejl Jensen has totaled 43 goals in 104 domestic league matches during her career. She had 16 goals and eight assists in 54 matches with BK Hacken in the Damallsvenskan — the top division in Sweden.
