Could the Browns fire Hue Jackson after latest brutal loss?

The Cleveland Browns had yet another opportunity to win a game on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

Rookie Baker Mayfield led the team back from a two-score second half deficit in hopes of Cleveland earning its third win of the season.

It was not to be. Going to overtime for the fourth time this season, Cleveland lost a heartbreaker of epic proportions, 26-23. Now at 2-4-1 on the season and 3-35-1 under head coach Hue Jackson, changes could potentially be on the horizon here soon.

It’s interesting that this could be the final straw for a coach in Hue Jackson that Cleveland kept despite the team putting up just the second winless 16-game regular season in NFL history.

Then again, others will conclude that it’s a long time coming. General manager John Dorsey has his imprint all over this roster. He didn’t hire Jackson. Cleveland also has a head coach in waiting, offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

With three games remaining until their bye, the Browns probably can’t wait until then to move on from Jackson if that is indeed the decision this organization makes.

With three of their losses coming by a combined nine points and a tie thus far this season, it’s readily apparent Jackson leaves a lot to be desired from an in-game coaching standpoint. That could lead to him getting his walking papers here soon.
