A new report about fired Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore claims he actually gave a staffer a raise after being alerted to a serious sexual assault allegation.
In December, Michigan football was shaken to its core when the university revealed it was unexpectedly firing head coach Sherrone Moore. Following the news, reports revealed that not only was the man who replaced Jim Harbaugh after a pair of scandals out as coach, but he was also in a local jail.
The coach was ousted over an inappropriate relationship with a staff member and arrested because he invaded the home of that woman and threatened to kill himself after his life began to fall apart from his own actions.
Drama has followed the Wolverines’ football program for the last few years because of the questionable individuals that Harbaugh hired, including Moore. Well, that history of unsavory people being on the Michigan football staff got another ugly chapter on Friday.
According to Justin Spiro, an unnamed woman went to the then-head coach and accused current Atlanta Falcons defensive line coach LaTroy Lewis of rape while he was a member of Moore’s staff. Unfortunately, Moore blew off the claim.

“Lewis is also alleged to have attacked the same woman in a separate incident so violent and cacophonous that neighbors called the police to report the disturbing sounds coming from her apartment,” Spiro reports.
Yet, not only did he dismiss the ugly allegations, but he reportedly gave Lewis a raise and actually sexually harassed the same woman. “Get up, I need to get sucked now,” Moore allegedly texted her after the sexual assault claim.
“The alleged victim, we’ll call her ‘Jane,’ says Moore refused to report the assault after she had confided in him, violating his status as a mandatory reporter under Title IX, and in violation of University of Michigan policy,” Spiro reports. “In the weeks proceeding, Moore sent Jane a barrage of sexually graphic messages, commanding her to perform various sexual acts on him.”
The report goes on to show pictures of bruises, screenshots of messages, and police reports of a situation that began in July 2024 and lasted through December of last year.
Moore was released from jail in December on $25,000 bond and is expected to be back in court next month. Lewis has been fired by the Falcons following the Spiro report. He was hired by the team a couple of weeks ago.
