The University of Michigan and the NCAA have reportedly agreed on a new suspension for head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Just days away from the start of the 2023 college football season, the Michigan Wolverines have been wondering if they will have their head coach in attendance for their first few games of the season. The coach was originally set to be suspended after an NCAA investigation into recruiting violations by Harbaugh and staff members.

Investigators claimed that the Michigan football coach was untruthful when giving statements about alleged violations during his first meeting on the topic.
After it became clear that he did indeed give false statements, the NCAA tried to set up a quick and quiet resolution, but talks broke down in January after the former San Francisco 49ers and Stanford coach refused to admit that he lied to investigators. The 59-year-old has consistently maintained he didn’t recall the first meeting where he allegedly gave false statements but that he was never purposefully dishonest.
Jim Harbaugh will serve 3-game suspension to start 2023 college football season

Earlier this month, the NCAA and the school agreed on a four-game suspension that would have knocked him out of the team’s games against South Carolina, UNLV, Bowling Green, and Rutgers. However, after review, the NCAA Committee of Infractions chose not to approve the agreed-upon ban and it seemed possible that Jim Harbaugh would miss no games this season.
There was another turn in this weird situation on Monday when Maize & Blue Review reported that the sides came to terms on a new suspension, this time for just three games instead of four. It is a self-imposed ban that Harbaugh reportedly informed his team about today.
