Eight-time Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick is accusing CBS News of “very deceptive” practices in its handling of his 2025 Sunday Morning interview with girlfriend Jordon Hudson — and he’s demanding the network release the full transcript.
In a wide-ranging new episode of Hang Out with Sean Hannity, the legendary coach didn’t mince words, accusing the network of trying to cover up the actual exchange.
“I thought that the interview I had with them was done very deceptively,” he charged. “I’ve asked for the transcript from them, and they won’t give it to me.”

The Infamous 2025 Interview
The controversy stems from an April 2025 “CBS Sunday Morning” segment promoting Belichick’s memoir The Art of Winning. Anchor Tony Dokoupil asked how Belichick and Hudson — his then-24-year-old girlfriend — first met.
Hudson, sitting just off-camera, quickly interjected. And not in the most polite of manners, either.
“We’re not talking about this,” she told Dokoupil, attempting to redirect the conversation to Belichick’s book.
The network later claimed she interrupted the interview multiple times and was a “constant presence” on set, raising concerns about her influence over the coach, who is nearly half a century older.

The aired version of the interview sparked widespread criticism of the 25-year-old former pageant contestant and fueled tabloid-style coverage of the couple’s significant, to say the least, age gap.
Belichick has maintained that the interview was supposed to focus exclusively on his book. He accused CBS of creating a “false narrative” through selectively edited clips that made it appear as though they were dodging the relationship question.
Did the network agree not to discuss it, and did their reporter ask anyway? That would be an ethical breach, regardless of how you feel about either Belichick or Hudson.
Belichick on CBS: “Couldn’t Believe” the Journalistic Conduct
Belichick went on to express frustration with the network, which, many, many decades ago, perhaps, was once viewed as a gold standard in journalism.
“I couldn’t believe” their conduct, he said, adding that he is “kind of confused about… some of the things that they say they are, but I don’t really see them living up to the trust that they… talk about.”
He noted that CBS’s editing controversies are not new, citing past issues with interviews featuring figures like Kamala Harris and Ron DeSantis.
“They’ve done that with others. I’m not really sure what that policy is,” he said. “As we’ve seen recently, there have been more editing problems, and they go back to, over a couple of years, multiple examples of editing.”
Belichick, now the head coach at the University of North Carolina, and Hudson have been publicly together since 2024. The pair has withstood intense media scrutiny over their relationship, but the Hoodie continues to defend his gal and push back against what he sees as unfair media tactics.
